Civil Engineering National Exhibition, CENEx provides a unique opportunity to all civil engineering students across India to showcase their research projects incorporating new technology via different models, prototypes, simulation models or samples in front of eminent professors and professionals. The cardinal aim of this event is to shower light on technological advancements by the youth of this country and provide an opportunity to showcase their innovations on a wider platform.

  • To have an opportunity to present their research and receive feedback from renowned professors and industry experts.
  • To introduce and demonstrate the latest developments in the research resource optimization, disaster management, work of infrastructure, sustainability, construction, innovation, green building, etc.
  • To connect the students with industrialists and professors enhancing technical development.
  • To provide the opportunity for promoting newly innovative ideas.
  • All participating students will get a certificate of participation.
  • Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded to top performers.

Who can participate?
All undergraduate and post-graduate (M.Tech, PhD and Dual Degree) students who can showcase a model or prototype in the exhibition based on any projects or research that they have done or are doing which would be completed before Feb’18 can participate in CENEx.

Exhibition Models are invited on any topic associated with civil engineering. The topic can belong to any of the following fields:

  1. Structural Engineering
  2. Concrete Technology and Building Materials
  3. Geotechnical Engineering
  4. Transportation Engineering
  5. Construction Management and Methods
  6. Remote Sensing (GPS/GIS)
  7. Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering/Ocean Engineering
  8. Sustainable Architecture

Note
You can also include the concept of this year’s theme ‘Resource Optimisation’ like Eco-friendly construction, green construction materials, Renewable resources of energy, Waste management techniques in your exhibition model/prototype. For complete details, please refer to our theme blog and basic ideas.

Registration Process

  1. A Group of maximum four students can participate in the exhibition.
  2. Detail of each participant is compulsory.
  3. For abstract submission guidelines, follow important guidelines.

Selection Process
Your research project would be reviewed by our committee comprising of IITB Professors and Aakaar Team and the selected projects would be invited to attend CENEx.

Our review committee will shortlist projects/models on the basis of details provided by participants in our registration form

Any new information or updates will be posted on our Facebook page and our website. Important updates will be sent to you via email also. Students should check our website regularly for updates and watch for emails containing important information.

An abstract is a concise version of your research presented in skeletal form, which focuses on the essentials of a larger idea or claim. It should be sufficient enough for reviewers to discern the nature and significance of your research, the fairness in your approach, and the nature of the results or progress to date.

Four important elements of an abstract:

  • The research focus (i.e. statement of the problem(s)/research issue(s) addressed);
  • The research methods used (experimental research, case studies, questionnaires, etc.);
  • The results/findings of the research; and
  • The main conclusions and recommendations

Abstracts are invited on any topic associated with civil engineering. The topic can belong to any of the following fields:

  • Construction Management and Methods
  • Concrete Technology and Building Materials
  • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering/Ocean Engineering
  • Remote Sensing (GPS/GIS)
  • Structural Engineering
  • Transportation Engineering
  • Architecture

Note:

  • You can also include the concept of this year’s theme ‘Resource Optimization’ in your abstract. For complete details, please refer to this link.
  • Please note that the last date for submission of Abstracts is 10/02/2018. Late submissions will not be entertained.
  • While submitting an Abstract please make sure to follow our ‘Abstract submission guidelines’. Abstracts not adhering to these guidelines will be turned down.
